The first Dance-Fusion competition began with the mission of gathering various dance teams across the nation in order to compete in different types of dance forms. The first Dance-Fusion was held at Penn State University with over 500 audience members and raised approximately $1,000 for the charity, Asha for Education. After its inaugural success, Dance-Fusion was moved to the Nation’s Capital, where over 1,000 fans cheered on their favorite teams, raising a gross total of $4,500 for Katrina Relief Fund, Earthquake in Pakistan relief, and KDBVillage.org.

What is Dance-Fusion?

Dance-Fusion is not like other competitions where the routines consist of only one type of dance or music. Instead, our competition fuses new genres of music that are spreading wildly amongst modern youth. It brings people back to their South Asian roots and shows them the culture of South Asia. Dance-Fusion is the nation’s only all charity show because we donate all of our proceeds to charitable organizations. Dance-Fusion will have teams from across the nation trying to compete for prize money and the title that they worked so hard to get. The unyielding spirit, the great energy, and the assorted beats are all things that set this competition apart from the others.

DANCE-FUSION IS IN NO WAY ASSOCIATED WITH ANY SCHOOL DANCE TEAM; ALTHOUGH WE MAY HOST OUR EVENT AT A SCHOOL’S AUDITORIUM, WE WILL REMAIN NEUTRAL.
